Unless, by "civil unrest" , you mean voting Trump and Rus-publicans out of office, in which case the chances are infinite.

to overthrow a dictator without violence in the streets. Look around you, what do you see? Other countries have citizens out there, attempting to say "no." It's not like they wouldn't have done it peaceably, had that worked.

The next election is crucial to the way we work it. Will we get that election? Who knows. We have to play it like it's real, and everyone turn out. All hands on deck.

But this pandemic changes things. Likely the call to assemble in the streets to say "NO" to Trump et al will not produce the numbers needed to get their attention. That's one reason Trump should be impeached a second time before the GE. It's in our power to do that, and we should do it.

You are not likely to need weaponry any more than you do now. If we become post apocalyptic, that's a whole different story. That's operating all on your own without any semblance of law. Can you do that?

Shooting someone is for keeps. So, if you would do that now, you could situate yourself for the possibility, but it would be at great personal risk. IMO, you'd be better off stocking up on other stuff. The likelihood of your being in a running gun battle is remote.

We're gonna eliminate these bastards in November when we vote them out of office and take back our country. Hold on to that.

Anyone want to revisit my question, seeing how rapidly things have deteriorated in just 4 days?

Am I a gun person? Hell no! If you had asked me at any point in my life if I would ever let a gun in my house, the answer would have always been a solid no. I am seriously concerned with how things are going though. If things get worse, I want to be able to protect my house and family.
