Amidst bringing peace to the Middle East, guiding the construction of the border wall, and ending America’s ongoing opioid crisis, Jared Kushner is now facing yet another task that should be delegated to an entire government agency, rather than to the president’s son-in-law. According to Politico, President Trump is delaying his decision on whether or not to declare a national emergency to combat the spread of coronavirus on the expert public-health opinion of fellow real-estate developer and fortunate son Jared Kushner. According to administration sources who spoke with Politico, Trump is holding off on a national emergency decision until Kushner “finishes his research and comes to a conclusion himself.”

Her entire childhood, she dragged behind her mother through these places, these mausoleums whose chilly, shimmering jewels would be laid out to defrost on funereal black velvet trays for the viewing, for the caressing — for the buying — if you had an eight-figure credit line and counted yourself a Very Important Somebody. Shopping for diamond necklaces and bracelets was a pastime like watching cartoons or playing with Barbie if your mother's name was Ivana and your father's name was Donald and the family business was Monopoly.
But now 25 going on 26 — a skyscraper of a young woman, six foot one in heels — Ivanka Trump is expanding the family's billionairing brand into diamond jewelry, her own name over a newly opened store on Madison Avenue that is as cozy as the inside of a velvet box coddling an engagement ring.
"Obviously, we are utilizing the biggest, most beautiful quality stones," Ivanka is saying. She is her father's daughter. Lately, friends imagine they hear Donald's intonations in Ivanka's surprisingly sexy voice, a voice that sounds like she gargles with Cristal. The inane locutions of her generation — those "like"s and "you know"s — have been almost banished from conversation in favor of the more lawyerly "if you will" and other such Donald-like tropes. She explains that she and her dad have been spending "waaay too much time together," ever since she joined the Trump Organization in 2005, where she is currently a vice president of real estate development and acquisitions, hustling alongside her elder brother, Don Jr., and younger brother Eric.
Ivanka could tell you about the Putzmeister pump throwing concrete a thousand vertical feet atop what stands to be the tallest residential building in the world, a site she's currently supervising in Chicago and one of 33 construction sites all over the globe. Instead, she is in the living room of her Park Avenue pad, pointing out the subtle architecture of some earrings, the Doric columns of one pair, twin Eiffel towers in another. Several stories of diamond bands are stacked on one slender, manicured finger.
