Nancy Pelosi is going to send him over the edge today when she announces

the package
https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/11/nancy-pelosi-coronavirus-stimulus-package-125564

Speaker Nancy Pelosi and top House Democrats on Wednesday introduced a multi-billion dollar bill in response to the coronavirus outbreak, with emergency provisions that include paid sick leave, widespread free testing, food aid and unemployment insurance.

The House is expected to vote Thursday on the sweeping package, which will have broad support from Democrats. Republican leaders and the White House are aware of the provisions in the bill, but have not announced their position on the legislation yet.

“Alarmingly, the president did not say how the administration will address the lack of coronavirus testing kits throughout the United States,” Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a joint statement late Wednesday.

“Tomorrow, we urge Republicans in the House and Senate to help immediately pass the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.”

The House vote Thursday — just hours after the bill is finalized — comes amid heightened fear after the first case of coronavirus on Capitol Hill was announced late Wednesday. Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) said a staffer in her Washington office tested positive for the virus and has been in isolation since developing symptoms.

The fate of the Democrats’ aid package is uncertain, however, with Senate GOP leaders so far undeclared on whether they will take it up. The House and Senate are slated to leave Washington on Thursday for a week-long recess, but both parties have indicated that they hope to pass at least some economic relief measures before doing so.

for once they could put politics aside and vote on the side of humanity, wouldn't you?

But the chances of that happening is very small.

Contrast that to what the Australian leader of the opposition said after our Fearless Leader (Scott Morrison) outlined his proposals about fighting the corona virus and recession:

'I wholeheartedly support any government initiatives to minimise the effect of the corona virus on the Australian people.'

(Not a direct quote, but near enough.)

https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/trump-payroll-tax-cut-economy-useless-low-income-americans-impact-2020-3-1028987243
Jason Furman, a top economist in the Obama administration who played a key role negotiating the last payroll-tax cut, recently posited an example on Twitter.

"A one-year payroll tax cut of 2% of income would provide up to a $5,508 tax cut to a high-income couple, only $500 to a single parent getting by on $25,000 a year, and nothing for a worker placed on leave without pay," Furman wrote.

That the Republicans may be forced to vote for or against a provision that provides government supported health care for all Americans during the largest health crisis we have faced sine 1917?

The best bet for the Republicans would be to not bring the issue to the floor and hoping that it would be quickly forgotten in the chaos that follows. There will be plenty of time to develop a plan to blame Obama for the crisis after things cool down.

We're paying attention. The suspension of the NBA season made it real to a lot of people. So, if the repukes refuse to vote yes, we will boot your stinking asses out to the curb where they belong.
There are obviously many instances where the repukes have gone against the public interest, but this one may finally do them in.

She wants to help and that's easier than coming up with a package that will help drumpf, the rich and big business and do nothing for someone who doesn't get a regular wage and lacks insurance. I don't think they want to help business enough to actually include the working class so they will reject this and come out with all rich all the time plan - like always.
