Why isn't "TRUMP MUST RESIGN" everywhere right now?

Trump is a incompetent, dangerous lunitic. Pence is at least a semi-functioning Executive.

Everything Trump touches dies.

The stock markets are collapsing. Colleges are shutting down. The tests aren't happening. Every message he speaks is a garbled mess.

And not even DU is demanding he resign?

It is about changing the narrative and forcing the Rethugs to go on record defending him.
It is about pressuring the media to respond.

Remember... it took about two weeks after Clinton's BJ before there was a steady drumbeat of "He Must Resign".
That is what it took to move the needle with the public and the Rethugs knew it.

It's about the messaging.

... last week, if this were Obama. And all the networks would be following their lead.

If we aren't demanding it because "he won't do it", we suck at leadership.

I was going to say that President Obama doesn't think that way.

But it would be more accurate to say simply that President Obama thinks.

I agree with you. There's no way in the world Trump would ever resign. If you put a gun to Ivanka's head and told him to resign or else, he'd have to sit down and think it over.

We didn't want him elected.
Then we wanted him removed via the 25th.
Then we wanted him impeached.
Then we wanted him convicted and removed.

Of course we want him to resign. Even Pence would be marginally better.

Now I will do something only liberals are capable of. I will reconsider my own position based on new ideas and information.

You are right, public cries for his resignation must become deafening.

People act like there's some level of popular discontent at which these guys will suddenly feel shame. It's just not true.

If he resigns now, we get Pence. That would allow them to re-focus around him, and push him forward as the next president. The fundigelicals would LOVE that.

The last thing we need is for there to be a "rally around the alternative" to the turd.

The turd needs to go down after it is too late for him to resign to affect the election, to give them an alternative. If they see he isn't going to be re-elected, and they have an alternative, they will jump on it with gusto. It would be a last ditch effort to win, and many would eagerly come back into the fold... Add that to the core he will NEVER lose, and they could still win. We don't need to allow any reason for reluctant former supporting voters to return.

There shouldn't be that option available to them.

The turd needs LOSE BIG TIME, to go down with the GOP ship. There needs to be nothing left but flotsam and jetsam, that can't be saved or re-purposed.

The GOP and all its sycophants need to be Dead. (in Rocky Horror terminology - DED)
