LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – A fourth person has tested positive for the novel coronavirus after attending a February conference at Louisville’s Omni hotel, a California church has confirmed.

All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Beverly Hills, Calif., said rector Janet Broderick “took ill shortly after returning” from the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes meeting in Louisville Feb. 19-22. Three other attendees also have contracted the COVID-19 respiratory illness.
+++++++
It’s unclear when Broderick, who is the sister of actor Matthew Broderick, began feeling sick or showing symptoms.

Another conference attendee, Rev. Dr. Robert Pace of Tarrant County, Texas, went to his doctor on February 27 when he started feeling sick, according to the Texas diocese. That was five days after the Louisville conference ended.

Someone attending this conference brought this shit to our town. When are officials going to finally call off all such meetings where travelers can infect people on aircraft, in airports and local hotels and restaurants, and then carry it back to their home city?

complete isolation. Everybody.

only essential people go to work and then only with precautions... warehouse / delivery people would be considered essential.

But we live in a country in which millions of people can’t take time off from work and can’t work remotely.

and then pass a law that says "the economy is taking a siesta for 30 days" no collections, no payments... use the $1000 for consumables... more if you need it for medicine.

like the 30 days wouldnt really exist. no stock market, nothing. Everyone go home and stay there... you need anything order it online and a protected delivery person will bring it to you.

Just for 30 days.

Americans simply don't like to be told we cannot do anything and religious folks are probably the most in denial.

It would have been cheaper and with far fewer deaths if all cruises and non-essential flights were halted back in January, with governments compensating customers and businesses for their losses.

It would take at least 30 days to root out all the existing exposures and insure they stop the spread. A logistics nightmare that would take a lot of coordination and planning.

I'm not convinced this nation has the will to do it........

which is why the infection rate will reach over 1 million... maybe as much as 100 million... and the number of dead willl be anywhere from 10,000 to 1 million.

Then maybe we will take it really seriously.

for medical professionals to transmit valid information around the nation to governments and other professionals.

If only the public would read, listen, and follow directions.... ....The information is out there.

The big ones for Louisville is what impact this will have on the huge Ford and GE plants and the massive UPS facility should there be outbreaks there.
