My community college district has just extended spring break an additional week for students.

Faculty (like me) are to report back on Monday to arrange for online learning for the rest of the semester.

Most of my classes won't be that hard to adapt. However, one of them has a major component of oral presentations to the class.

Yes, I understand that there are ways to do that, but that assumes that the STUDENTS have the technology to do so at home.
Most of our students are under the poverty line, and the only technology they personally own is a cell phone.

I know that their health and safety comes first, I am in agreement with the choices the district has made.

It's just really unfortunate that this group of students will not have the best learning experience that I usually provide for them.
This is in addition to losing out on one week of learning.

I blame Trump & his team for this. If they had taken this virus seriously two months ago, we'd be in a very different place right now.
