MLB employs a lot of people for work during their home games. Businesses around stadiums, transportation systems, all depend on that revenue.

The same affect for Hockey aND Basketball.

The Stock Market continues this way, companies are going to let people go. It is inevitable.

I hate it but I get it.
I’ve been reading some firsthand accounts from Northern Italy. There’s a real shitshow going on there. The words I kept hearing were preparedness and overwhelming. Dodgers fan out.

Cracker Jack at the Dollar Store.

MLB may be trivial to most people, but it was something I was REALLY looking forward to.

MLB suspends spring training, delays Opening Day at least two weeks

Major League Baseball is delaying the start of the 2020 regular season by at least two weeks in response to the coronavirus pandemic, the league announced Thursday.

MLB also said in a statement that spring training games have been suspended, starting at 4 p.m. ET Thursday.

Commissioner Rob Manfred and the league's owners held a conference call Thursday afternoon to formalize the plan.

"MLB will announce the effects on the schedule at an appropriate time and will remain flexible as events warrant, with the hope of resuming normal operations as soon as possible," MLB said in its statement.

I was looking forward to the season to take my mind off all the awfulness.

Now, not only does Tom “there’s no crying in baseball” Hanks has tested positive, and there’ll be no games.
