Crazy visit to Sams Club in kansas city....

Parking lot packed, no toilet paper, no hand disinfectant at all. Long lines. 30% of people had 1 to 5 cases of water. Not sure why they think public water system will stop working.
Stuff getting real.

If said public water system stops working that TP isn't going to do much good

Seal up that house as the Terra threat goes to blue or red or whatever color was on the Bush chart. Had rolls of duct tape on a broom handle at my local Home Depot right by the cash register.

The same thing at both. Luckily I have an unopened case of Costco toilet paper and some hand sanitizer as well as disinfectant wipes a lysol spray.

There were some packs of TP--not many--but some. I bought one. Should have plenty now. Several of us women in the store had a good laugh about it since we can't just shake it off like the men do. We also had a discussion about clueless people walking around coughing next to others. A woman from the pharmacy counter had just walked past the three of us in line and coughed as she passed me. No attempt to cover her mouth at all. That started me on the story about the guy in the grocery store yesterday who I watched cough--without covering his mouth--standing in front of all the bottled salad dressings. I turned around and went the other way.

What is it with people?

I am now "supplied". I won't be going anywhere other than to walk the dog several times/day. My e-mail is filling with canceled events: ballet, touring chamber music group, and I'm expecting the musical theater production going up next week to be canceled, too.

face without covering her mouth. WTF is that about? As my mom used to say "were you raised in a barn?".

toilet paper. As a dutiful hubby I did as I was told. I got to the TP aisle and it was absolutely mobbed but TP was still in stock. My wife's BFF went there a couple of day later and no TP, no bleach and no hand sanitizer.

I don’t get the TP and bottled water. I got a few OTC Drugs today and they were pretty picked over and got some disinfectant wipes. Those are still available. I have a couple weeks worth of food so not worried there. Shopping with my card, cash is probably best to avoid. I’ve been reading the SK recommend the quinine based anti malaria. I used to have a couple bottles of that they gave me for Afghanistan. I wonder if they are still in my storage room though they’d be almost 10 yrs old.

When I ran out of Kleenex I used paper towels. They're a little rougher but whatever works. Just don't flush them idk but may clog toilet.

same way we stock up in hurricane season...early. Even then there were holes in the shelves at the only
Wal-mart within 50 miles.
Today Mr. Dixie sez crowds, stuffed carts, and only 2 cashiers there.

And state of Alabama sez ..."It won't come here, but if it does, we'll figure something out then"

Seriously.
