From what I’ve read, countries like S Korea got into testing early. The needed chemical, reagents, etc., are in short supply now because USA (is, trump Admin) sat on their ass while other countries were snapping up needed testing components.

Then, CDC screwed up kits. Doctors and hospitals don’t want to collect specimens because it brings likely sick folks into their facilities.

at this stage of the day, but...

I'm tending to wonder whether Trump is lying when he's saying that there are COVID-19 tests being shipped to access points throughout the US, and that "soon" there will be enough to adequately fill the need. I'm suspecting that Trump WANTS the disease to spread, and is intentionally delaying any interventions until the outbreak reaches deadly proportions for the entire nation. Trumpy won't be happy with one million killed. He'll want more dead. Trumpy is not well. He's sick. And he'll do what some sick people do. But he's also evil. Please remember that. This is why the average person does NOT want an unbalanced person running the Executive Branch. There's too much responsibility, and way too much power. Now we have a mad man running the show, and we can see, in full view, the terrible results of the extraordinary error in electing Trumpy. Sure the Russians played a part, and so did Comey, but those were anomalies at the margins. Trump's core base of support wanted a celebrity braggart, but they got much more.
