...unless you're into short-selling.

Analysts are seeing earnings depressed for at least the next two quarters; no earnings growth, no price appreciation. It's hard to see a bottom to this market before July. Hold on to your money until then.

I don't think we'll hear Trump bragging about his financial prowess and management of the markets any time soon.

Probably a nibble from value seekers after a 10% decline in one day.

Normally that would be sound strategy. But I don't think normal thinking applies when we're on the verge of virus/death numbers soaring. Many market analysts are still in denial in that regard. They keep referring to the December 2018 low and other traditional indicators.

This isn't over, and pretending like it is daily doesn't help anyone.

It's going to swing more before it settles. Which means ups and downs.

I'd be surprised it any type of rally held. Normally during a downtrending market there is late sell off toward the close on Fridays. Anyone who has inclination to sell wants to get it over with in case there's some type of further negative news over the weekend.
