A glimmer of hope...

So I'm at the kennel to pick up the hound after a week of traveling. Owner and I greet each other and,as usual, commence in some small talk when the discussion turns to the Covid-19 clusterfuck. She says " I want to be as diplomatic as possible here..." and I think, here we go!, But then she says, "I've never been a fan of Trump" and I literally put my hands together as praying and said, "Thank god I'm not the only one around here" and we talked quite a bit about the sad state of affairs in this country and the incompetence of this administration. Two ladies came in shortly after and the joined the discussion, which turned to the cruise ship fiascos. Everyone agreed that the lack of true leadership is the cause of the current state of affairs. All spoke well of Biden and his statement the other day. Presidential.

The reason I post this is that I live smack dab in the middle of the Delmarva Peninsula. a place redder than red. Trumpers all over. You hear the Fux noise regurgitated talking points ad infinitum. It's sickening. Forget about having an informed discussion about any policy.

Today was different. I left feeling invigorated.
