JOE KERNEN: Have you been briefed by the CDC? Are there worries about a pandemic at this point?

PRESIDENT TRUMP: No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It's 1 person coming from China, and we have it under control. It's—going to be just fine...

That's a rough assessment -- assumes we're all living in a giant city and not geographically separated, but it is in the ballpark of what we're talking about.

To make this bonehead error, all you needed was to think you got the one case quarantined, when really there was one other case out in the population.

I'm sure the epidemeologists knew this and warned him.

we ignore the 1500 radio stations that follow limbaughs lead in making excuses and pointing blame at democrats.

democrats can end it quick and even force GOP senators to dump trump if we boycott the crap out of all rw radio until the ad industry, which wants alll those ears, is forced to start asking clients if they really support trump and global warming and the coronavirus denial that limbaugh leads

it will hav e to democratize talk radio, break up the monopoly, and they will lose the only advantage they have

I can do a little one-person boycott but Fox isn’t going to notice our tiny individual ones. It needs to be public and huge.

Maybe the coronavirus will show people that we can get along without most of our favorite products at least temporarily.

attention it will have assume the worst and preemptively start breaking up the monopoly.

if the ad industry finds out how easy it is to record shows, transcribe, and then search and list advertisers and associate them with content without hardly listening it will freak out. all it would take iss a small org.

and people should know that limbaugh has been selling the coronavirus denial big time. so those 87 universities need to be protested.

and all it would take is sfor michael mooore (or bernie) to go on campus like in michigan and point out the absurdity of mich and mich state endorsing 18 limbaugh stations that support trump, say corona/trump is no worse than swine/ebola/obama, and deny global warming

then it would cascade

14. Another documented lie
Sat Mar 14, 2020, 03:32 PM
Mar 2020

During his bullshit press conference yesterday I had just finished scanning his last couple of days of tweets.
When the lady asked the "nasty question" about why he had fired the pandemic team, he of course refused to answer but deflected into how poorly the Obama/Biden admin had responded to swine flu, which he said caused 14,000 deaths.

I was looking at a tweet on his account at the time. It was 17 hours old, and it was blaming "Sleepy Joe" for the 12,000 deaths caused by swine flu. (btw, CDC site says the death toll was around 12,400)

And, I realized that this wasn't really what you would call a lie in the traditional sense. Rather, it was like a toddler making some outlandish statement. His mind just automatically increased the number. Similar to how, when discussing his super genius uncle from MIT he had to add that he had taught at MIT for a "record number of years."

Please, please America. We need a sane adult to occupy the White House.

Sat Mar 14, 2020, 03:33 PM

He still thinks he is running a company he owns.
So, he micro-manages the whole thing...an impossible task.
And, he takes everything so very personal. He won't let anyone stray from his line.

He relies on absolute loyalty from everyone, but he is unwilling to actually let those people's do their jobs.
He puts weak, ineffectual people in critical positions so they have to rely on him.
And, he counts on their fear of reprisal to keep them in line.

It's a recipe for failure.
No decisive action anywhere in the government without Trump's prior approval.

I did notice that Dr. Robert Kadlec was not with the President when he spoke yesterday. After Kadlec's agreement with Rep. Katie Porter regarding payment of Covid-19 testing, he's in the dog house big time...soon to be replaced I think.

What we have is a failure of leadership in the Oval Office.
It's bad enough at the corporate level, but it is catastrophic at the Federal Government level.

but IQ45 does not micromanage. In fact, he's just the opposite.

Micromanagement is a management style characterized by excessive control and attention to details to the works of subordinates or employees. It is a state where the manager closely observes and controls everything a subordinate or an employee does in the organization.

As we heard in his "I take no responsibility" statement, he is NOT in control and is clueless as to what is going on around him.

But YES, we DO have a failure of leadership - and it is going to be nasty for the next few months.

I live on a town with a state university.
Spring semester started Jan. 6th.
I checked.
350,000 Chinese students attend college in the US during an academic year.
Those students were already here. All over the US.
Trump did nothing.
He either lied or did not take advice from health experts.
Or both.

Totally under control. Everything’s gonna be just fine.

Well, donald, you finally ran INTO a wall. This virus doesn’t listen to you. You can’t threaten it, bully it, fire it, smear it with attack-tweets, or lie to it and fool it into going away with your bullshit and your constant deceit and irrelevant, non-factual, nonsensical happy talk.

You finally stumbled into something you can’t buffalo with your slick fast-talking CONjobs. You can’t sell ANYTHING to this virus. It ain’t buyin’. It isn’t even listening. And it definitely isn’t impressed.

That’s a first for you, isn’t it, donald. Your tricks aren’t working anymore. And you have NO idea what to do about it.
