The much feared toilet paper shortages of 2020 have begun. Should the government be encouraging people to "hold it in?"

(6,785 posts)I had an aunt and uncle who got married early in the depression. They were FRUGAL. They continued depression era savings measures for all of their lives. As a result for the rest of their married life into the 1970s they only bought toilet paper when company came over. How much money could you save by not buying toilet paper for 45 years? Probably saved some sewer bills too. Haha.

(3,557 posts)Just use that brush that everyone keeps by their toilet, isnt it left there for when you run out of TP?
Use it, rinse it off in the sink, put it back for the next person to use.

(3,557 posts)Its all personal preference. If you want a little extra tickle when you use the brush, I say twirl it.
