is this may prove the right is wrong about "big government" - we do need government for some things and that drowning it in the bathtub is not across-the-board the answer. And that a "businessman" even if successful, does not have enough experience and can't "shake things up" but can only fuck things up.

It was rare to see heavy kids when I was in grade school, I could count the total on one hand. Today it is more common to see really heavy grade school students.

We had mandatory PE when I grew up, daily.

I get annoyed by this blanket «over 60 » thing. Not saying I won’t get Corona, but I don’t get most of what fells my much younger coworkers. And I’ve got the four months of banked sick time to prove it. And no, I don’t go to work sick.

Guess what the idiots here are doing this evening? They are having a Saint Patrick's Day dinner and dance.
These functions can have up to 250 people show up. I have no idea what the attendance is supposed to be this evening.

There was to be another function this week, a luncheon that is attended by people 80 years of age and over. They canceled that because they heard the news that people who were 'elderly' were the people who were most at risk.

So the 60 and 70 year olds are going to the party tonight. I'm sure people in their 80s and 90s will be there as well.

They sent out a phone announcement this afternoon reminding everyone about the party. And one of the things this person said was 'come and party with all of your healthy friends.' Seriously. That's what this person said.

How can people be so stupid? I'm 63, and I won't go anywhere near anyone in here.

I must point out the larger population in here is Republican. I'm sure they heard their fuhrer tell them that it's okay to go out.

My doctor and the medical professionals at Kaiser keep finding reasons why I'm not exhibiting the "appropriate" symptoms, and I get sidestepped if I ask for a test. I realize they're under siege, and they don't have the tests, but for fuck's sake, I've got symptoms, I live in a hot zone, my job puts me in contact with an ocean of people from all corners of the earth, and I'm an at-risk target. What the fuck will it take? Wait 'till it's too late?

thinking wait for it, wait for it. "It" being the response I get most of the time to the mention of Haggis, the national dish of Scotland. I find it delicious. The farther you get away from Scotland, the less tolerance you find for such fare. You cannot make it here in the US according to the original recipe, as some of the ingredients are not recognized by the FDA for human consumption.

Glad you had the opportunity to try it (and amazingly, like it.). We'll make you an official "Scotsman !!"
