Looking for something to do while staying home? I found

https://www.zooniverse.org/projects

It's crowd sourced research! Really cool projects in all different areas: arts, biology, climate, history, language, literature, medicine, nature, physics, social science, and space.

It's free and they have intros for each project to see if you're interested, then a tutorial, and you can work on one subject as long as you want. If you want to try something different, you can switch. I love doing the animal ones and I helped them finish some Civil War diary transcription. Really cool!

Thought maybe some of you all would be interested. They even have a phone app now which I love when doing the photo things because it's easier it's 'pinch to zoom'.

I picked the University of Wyoming's Raccoon Project. I hope they plan is not to research them to learn how to kill them later. Considering it is not in North Carolina, it probably isn't like that. If it was in North Carolina, I know that is what they would all be thinking. This is the most anti-raccoon state. My stepfather told me all raccoons were born with rabies and most people I have met try to kill them even just because they saw them, just to give an idea where I am coming from.

I love watching raccoons though. I find them fascinating. This will be fun. I just hope it is used for good. I'm so wary of people. It's the humans I fear and distrust. I'd rather take my chances with the five raccoons I saw visiting my bird feeder summer before last, lol.

a few days ago. Really cute! We love watching them. Our pupper (german shepherd) didn't even seem to notice. She's slowing down at almost 13 yrs old.

What gets me is that if they are eating at the bird feeder, they aren't rabid. They can't swallow any more if they are rabid. Yet, people want to kill them. I think they are adorable.

such as painting a room or whatever, consider getting the required supplies in case we have a lockdown here.
