UCSF health care workers test positive

Two UCSF health workers test positive for COVID-19: The health care workers, who have not been named, are currently under quarantine, according to a statement from a UC San Francisco spokeswoman. She said the hospital is tracking down and notifying anyone who may have been in contact with them, including patients, staff and doctors or nurses.

“We are taking every precaution to minimize the risk to other health care workers and patients, and we remain confident in the safety precautions our health care providers are taking,” the statement read. It noted that the hospital is following the San Francisco Department of Public Health’s directive to bar non-essential visitors and mandate health screenings for all employees.
