... but I am wondering what if any information there may be out there regarding the spread of Covid 19 in Russia? Of course it is well known that Putin's Russia is as secretive as any Soviet or post-Soviet regime has ever been. However, I am not hearing or seeing any info whatsoever in the North American media on how Russia is coping with the coronavirus. This - I would assume - is due to that institutional secrecy which comes right from the top of the Kremlin power structure. Again, I am just very surprised that we don't seem to hear any comment on this subject in the media. Are they just baking in the reality of this Russian secrecy into their approach to covering the pandemic?
Anyway, Covid 19 does NOT recognize geographic or political borders, and there is no WAY any rational person would believe that Russia has been spared what the rest of the world is struggling to cope with.
