Why buy extra Toilet Paper

2. I actually believe 2 things

1.) For those who are ignoring the news and who might routinely run out of TP and casually go to the store to find that they are all out, then after multiple attempts to find some (as I overheard a frustrated guy I passed by in the supermarket yesterday morning exclaiming - "Nix the toilet paper, all they have are some paper towels" on his cell phone to whoever was on the other end of the call), eventually leads to hoarding if some is actually found so you don't run into that problem again.

2.) I think many who are filling carts are doing so not just for themselves but for other family members and/or friends unable to get to the store due to work, age/infirmity, etc. Yes you do have some who hog it for themselves but I know there are many many households here in the city where people just cannot and/or should not go out and the need is there (and store "delivery" usually has a fee associated with it that they might not be able to spare).

3. It doubles as facial tissues (kleenex) as well. But don't buy two years worth, please

Leave some for everyone else.

The shelves were empty at my local Ralphs.
