.
@NYGovCuomo
says they are turning to medical schools, retired doctors, retired nurses - any way to expand the medical staff, knowing we will need more and some will get sick.

How can you build more hospital capacity now?
@NYGovCuomo
asks. Says its never been done before. Says it takes years and billions to build a hospital usually.

Tents? Military field hospitals. We've got tents ready to go in NC.

This is like the situation in Italy where they’re run out of hospital beds and facilities to treat the very ill.

New York got the least of any other state.

Federal Corona Bill gives NYS the lowest level of reimbursement rate at 50%. Other states get 75%.

Politicians say NY gets more $ than most states, that's only bc we spend more—we get reimbursed at a lower rate. With highest # of cases, why is our rate the lowest? Fight for NY!

We have facilities that could serve as temporary hospitals, like SUNY dorms.

I am urging the President: deploy the Army Corps of Engineers, retrofit these buildings as medical facilities to free up hospital beds.

The federal gov't alone has the ability to do this fast enough.
