okay. An honest question-not hysteria. What exactly are the symptoms to watch for

I am high risk. I have Crohn's. had my last chemo 3 weeks ago.

Had Bells Palsey two weeks ago and now have a serious cough (full disclosure I was a former pack a day smoker 30 + years) Have not smoked in 6 years

I do not think I have the virus=but it seems that all the virus anyone has ever had settles on me.

so....

What exactly are the symptoms?

Thank you

Yep. Symptoms similar to a cold from Hell - it's closely related to a cold and works the same way. backscatter712 Mar 2020 #10

Let's not diminish the seriousness - think of it as a cold that kills. So yeah, generic cold & flu symptoms, but the big difference between how Captain Trumps works and how an ordinary cold works is that Captain Trumps hits the lungs earlier, and the lungs tend to react by generating much more gunk that you cough up than a cold does (see cytokine storm). Too much gunk, and the cold turns into pneumonia, and you can see the results right now in places like Italy or Wuhan.

I mean temp changes in terms of atmospheric changes. It was 80 degrees here on Friday. Mid 40's today.

I’ve had all of those symptoms for the last 4 days. Add to that extreme fatigue. My fever, though, comes and goes and never exceeded 99.6. I assume it’s just a cold because I’ve not seen “runny nose” as one of the symptoms. Also, I cough -a lot- but it is not a “dry cough” so, again, I assume it’s not the coronavirus.

Thankfully, I do not have any trouble breathing.

Spring has started in my area and the pollens are going crazy. I got a cough and sinus problems about two weeks ago and couldn’t figure out why until I noticed all the stuff wafting through the air. My asthma is now getting so bad that I will start my adjunct meds tomorrow after a chat with my pulmonologist.

And some people said their sinuses were so filled, they felt like they were drowning, so it's not draining via your nasal cavities, but rather down your throat.

I just went through a cold virus - no fever, no aches, no fatigue but lots and lots of nose blowing and sneezing.

as a mild cold or seasonal allergies, at least at the outset. Although those two things rarely, if ever, involve a fever.

I have more or less constant allergies, so I'm always coughing a bit.

with a lot of "flu" patients. The nurses have no masks and she's not aware of any testing going on yet.

She's been told upper respiratory symptoms are not typical of corona. Fever, dry, cough and difficulty breathing are the things to watch for.

Anyone elderly or compromised should stay home.

GOOD LUCK!

I'm medium risk, I'm staying put -MOM visits, 4 miles away, she is high risk due to age, but in great shape for her age (75+) and no lung issues, but she is skinny AF and her husband passed 3 years ago, & not helping her lust for life factor 1iota?

She has an almost disgusting disinterest and wants do whatever she wants.

I am rooting for all casinos here to just shutdown, safety 1st, fuck money at this point.
