He's been laying pretty low from the start.

As for the ghouliani, I think he's like Beetlejuice, if you say his name three times and he'll show up. You just have to remember to put him back when you're done with him.

The Senate won’t consider urgent coronavirus legislation until next week

Lawmakers, including Mitch McConnell, have already left the Capitol for the weekend.

Early Saturday morning, after extensive negotiations with the White House, the House passed an emergency coronavirus relief package. The package includes free testing, paid emergency family and sick leave for vulnerable Americans, unemployment insurance and increased funds for food security. This package delivers much needed resources to states and those affected by the disease.

But instead of being immediately signed into law, the emergency package will sit over the weekend while it awaits a Senate vote.

Absent from the negotiations was Senate Majority Leader MItch McConnell. As a viral pandemic spreads and economic and health care panic sets in, McConnell couldn't be bothered to wait around for a final package. Instead he dismissed the Senate for the weekend and spent Friday in Kentucky with Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

At times like this, it becomes very clear how Mitch McConnell is failing the American people. Even when faced with a crisis he continues to do nothing. Please give $1 to each of the Democratic nominee funds in eight crucial November elections so we can put an end to McConnell's disastrous reign over the U.S. Senate.

Keep fighting,

Mitch McConnell, Brett Kavanaugh attend federal judge's swearing-in ceremony in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh were in Louisville on Friday to attend new federal judge Justin Walker's swearing-in ceremony.

McConnell pushed through nominations of both Walker and Kavanaugh, even as Democrats fought hard against both. Kavanaugh was accused of sexually assaulting a woman while in college, but the Senate voted to confirm his nomination in 2018.

Friday morning, Kavanaugh swore in Walker, who served as a clerk for Kavanaugh until he was confirmed to the bench.

"In this time of challenge, we gather here today to participate in a judicial investiture and recall our shared commitment to the constitution and to the principal of equal justice under law," Kavanaugh said.
