2. China has been sending out robots to spray disinfectant

all over the cities. I saw video of it recently. I haven't seen any other countries that even have those kinds of robots or have modified any to do that. I don't know how much good they did, but the point is, they took it seriously and took actions to counteract the spread. There is not telling what else they did. Too bad the rest of the world wont' just eat humble pie and ask them. Maybe the rest of the world wouldn't be in deep shit right now.

We lack that technology.

Imagine police at the entrance to your apt. building or to your subdivision checking you as you enter and leave, and if you're showing symptoms forcing you to be COVID tested and until you get a negative result detaining you on the spot. And if you get a positive result, detaining you for two weeks. Otherwise, everything's closed so even if you show no symptoms they want to know where you're going. Work? Go back. Exercise? Go back. Food? Today's not your day, go back.

That works in some cultures and political systems. Not in others. The US is one of the "others".
