Combine the year 1918 (flu) with the year 1929 (market crash).

That's what we may be facing. That's the worst case scenario. Let's hope it doesn't get that bad. I do not feel safe or confident when we are dealing with this without a president. When I watch Gov. Cuomo on TV begging for national leadership, that I take very seriously and it scares me.

It may lead to a Great Recession/Depression. The divide is so large now that we will hear the grumblings of the profit devotees with large amounts of acquisitions, holdings and wealth and that will be the news about it because I think a "Depression" is no longer in the vocabulary of newspeak.

For the rest of us, it will be far more like a major depression, but how does that matter now? It's our problem.

At some point the facade may not hold up anymore, but there is so much wealth here now that maintaining it is going to be very important and similar to Don Corona's handling of the viral crisis we are entering, which is hardly comforting.

We, The People, need the bailout this time. They know that. That has to be played down.

He only cares for himself and actively hates a good portion of the American people, plus he is abjectly stupid and greedy as fuck. That's why this is so bad, he refused to let us use existing tests, had to have new tests developed by a co. in which he's part owner. Then, quelle surprise, the test kits they produced weren't right. They still have in place rules to prevent most of us from being tested, so there's a huge (who knows how many?) population walking around, infecting others. He is actively trying to hurt us to hide his own total incompetence, and doing that is making the whole thing so much worse than it has to be.

Corona Don tried to steal a German company that is working on the medical side (vaccine/cure?) so he could get exclusive rights to it. Yet another disgusting way to profit off the misery of the world! Fortunately, the German authorities and press found out about it and it has been made public.

I second that emotion:

That is truly awful, and CNN and MSNBC need to do specials on this, and Bloomberg needs to step up and do an ad.

Oliver found the hamster ad, in 12 seconds, had better information ['hand washing', 'social distancing', etc. illustrated by a hamster], more useful than all the trump Addresses to the Nation.
