Three doctors appointments this week.

The first one was this morning with my primary care. I cancelled the other two when I got home. I debated on whether to go this morning, but the pros outweighed the cons, and I took all the precautions I could at the visit. I kept my distance from anyone I encountered, and she was the only person who touched me. I sanitized my hands 4 times during the visit. It was a beautiful 6 mile drive to her office, which was very eerie because of the almost complete lack of traffic.

My primary care told me that the country needs to be on complete lockdown for at least two weeks. Her opinion was that anything short of this will have grim consequences.

She is a busy woman, and as such, she does not read the internet too much. She seemed quite surprised when I informed her about the scenes at the airports, and about how many people are not taking this threat seriously. She gave me a look of disbelief when I told her that a good portion of the country believes that the Corona Virus is a plot to get Trump out of office.

She normally hugs me before I leave the visit...none of that today. You have to sign into the office on an electronic pad. I used my knuckle. Then I washed my hands. Then I sanitized them.

Nothing seems real to me.

Might be worth calling ahead to them now ? If possible, it is always worth getting a checkup. OnDoutside Mar 2020 #3
I'd cancel it. Medicare will still pay if you put the appointment off until the danger has passed. hedda_foil Mar 2020 #4

wonder if I should keep it. It's with the opthamologist (Medicare pays for it if it's a MD). I don't really need new glasses I don't think. He does the usual dilation and cataract check.
Thinking....
