They are being told that this is overblown, that it is not serious, that it is being done deliberately to hurt Trump, and other such nonsense.

MAGA followers do not consume news from outlets outside of Fox News, right wing radio, and sites like Breitbart. Most have been conditioned to see news from mainstream outlets like CNN and the terrestrial (legacy) broadcasters as "Fake News" or "the Liberal media". They also do not care about "globalism" which is anything that would compare the way we do things in the United States to what they do elsewhere.

They live in a world devoid of anything other than the propaganda they want to hear.
