Shout out to Governor Tim Walz

This press conference is superb. He is smart and compassionate. He is reassuring. Minnesota is closing schools. The Commissioner of Health Jan Malcolm is amazing. Andrew Zimmern spoke from the heart. Governor Walz is listening to experts. He is making a plan. There is collaboration. He knows that Minnesota has a surplus. There is an emergency fund. He is talking about the food chain. He speaks about the truckers, mechanics and food storage. He spoke with teachers and giving the time to plan. He said Comcast is suspending internet payments for people with children at home and increasing speeds. He spoke about the unemployment benefits and waiving the time to apply. He spoke about bars, restaurants and entertainment. Andrew Zimmern touched me with his passion for the workers. The Commissioner of Economic Development was also encouraging. He spoke about day care. Governor Walz also spoke about not hoarding and helping your neighbors because that is what Minnesota does. I am so proud of my Governor. I am so thankful to be in Minnesota. He also addressed the inaccurate information coming from Washington, he specifically addressed the president's pressers. I feel better than I did yesterday. He takes questions and knows each reporter and calls them by name. What a difference from listening to Trump. Hang in there everyone and keep the faith.

1. Tim has been a friend of mine for 15 years now.

When he first announced his run for Congress in 2005, this Command Sargeant Major, Mankato West teacher and Football coach, knew his stuff.

Over the years, I have seen Tim Walz grow in stature and maturity.

Of course, he did the right thing and has been good for Minnesota by telling Republicans that no way was he going to approve tax refund relief to taxpayers. Because Minnesota does have a surplus, we will be in okay shape to keep government services going and dealing with this serious health crisis.
