The restaurant in which he works will close for 30 days at least (S Denver Metro) and his boss just called him. She told him to file for unemployment insurance until this can be resolved.
If you all would not mind throwing some good thoughts his way, he'd appreciate it.
He is bummed.

(41,930 posts)One sells wine to restaurants, bars and stores. Two of the three are now shut down. The other is a personal trainer and drives Uber. The Uber gig is still somewhat viable though scary for the exposure (hes being very cautious but were in Seattle!) but hes strongly thinking of switching to Uber Eats since delivery is the trend.
Im fine until I suddenly want to breathe into a bag.

(10,120 posts)She was crying. Her school is closed too. All her plans are messed up.
Me? I'm pretty happy if we can get out of this without her being infected.
She wasn't jobless for long. I hired her at the same pay rate and hours to work from home on a charity effort to scan historical documents for a non-profit library I'm trying to help. That will keep her busy for a month or two.

(10,114 posts)I'll admit, I wish I was scanning historical documents with you guys.
Thank you.
