Poll: Americans Don't Trust What They're Hearing From Trump On Coronavirus

Yeah, you may think "DUH" but it seems to be getting through to at least a few R's too. Look at the trust ratings for local and state government by contrast on COVID-19 response at the NPR link downstream

Americans have little trust in the information they are hearing from President Trump about the novel coronavirus, and their confidence in the federal government's response to it is declining sharply, according to a new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll.

Just 46% of Americans now say the federal government is doing enough to prevent the spread of coronavirus, down from 61% in February.

Just 37% of Americans now say they had a good amount or a great deal of trust in what they're hearing from the president, while 60% say they had not very much or no trust at all in what he's saying.

Don't believe anything he claims and lies about either. trump promotes propaganda, and attacks the truth , so why would anyone believe him now? This is what's so dangerous, we have a serial liar , and corrupt president sitting in the White House looking at ways to weaponize this virus for political and his own financial reasons. More people now are watching him do that too.

Former senior Trump administration official: “He was never interested in things that might happen. He’s totally focused on the stock market, the economy and always bashing his predecessor and giving him no credit.”

to keep the public in the dark as a way to mitigate panic. The fact we have had so little testing and people in charge are pretty quiet is all the reason to worry.

People have gone crazy. The whole TP thing for instance. I bought regular weeks groceries yesterday, for pick up, and there were several items out of stock. Simple stuff. There's a run on firearms. One lot of peole are waiting for society to collapse totally, and there is another who volunteer to pick doorknobs to prove it is a hoax. 46 years I've been on his earth and I recall nothing like it.

Soviet Union, China all had events that killed 10's of millions. US has been immune until now. We are 2-3 weeks to REAL panic and then when the chaos can take over. Doesn't take much to push people into desperation. We saw suck with little things like TP, imagine when grocery shelves are empty for weeks all over america?

CNN illustrated Trump's untrue or exaggerated statements w/ gumballs a while back. I wonder if they can even fit into a single room at this point.
