I made an error --
so the correct info. is that my local food bank's website IS still accepting food donations; however, they need monetary donations as well more than ever due to the extra precautions being taken with food handling.
My bad!!! So sorry!!!!

I think I saw this on an episode of "Adam Ruins Everything"....
They probably can buy wholesale which means the money buys more food.
