(586 posts)as someone who has broken bones several times in my life, it is especially comforting!
One time I broke my ankle after having had surgery on my arm a short time before. Since the arm surgery was an obstacle to using crutches, I was in a wheelchair for several months until I could recover. I also lived in an upstairs apartment which meant, I could not easily go anywhere. So my mom, who lived about 1000 miles away from here, invited me to live with her until I was better. Even though she also had a job at the time, I greatly appreciated her helping me.
