Donald Trump Looks and Sounds Like an Idiot in His Press Conferences

Why? Because even the mediocre experts who are also there and who also speak at least make some sense. Trump blathers, and then they explain, more or less accurately. Trump is on display as an ignoramus and a fool, in contrast to even the weakest of the others who speak at those pressers.

When Trump is speaking, look away from him and at the faces of those standing behind him. Their expressions reveal that they know that he is an idiot and that they are dismayed and sometimes even horrified at the clumsy message he is delivering. Even Mike Pence, whom I loathe, looks like a solid statesman compared to Donald J. Trump.

In those press conferences and every time Trumps speaks about the COVID-19 pandemic, he is constantly losing support from voters, except for the troglodytes who think no better than Trump does. His moronic statements are countered by a motley group of underlings who, despite their own incompetencies, present themselves much better than does Trump.

So, encourage Trump to appear as often as possible during this crisis and to continue to step back to let others provide a contrast. That's the best possible way for Democrats to win in November. Trump defeats himself.

My favorite presser moment so far (haven't seen many) is when they finally started to take it seriously and told people to do social distancing, while half a dozen of them were clustered together with him as close as possible behind the podium, shaking hands and glad-handing.
