The one we had is messed up. I got it to work for my wife, sort of. It read 96.2 which seems suspiciously low.
Then I used it, (yes I alcohol wiped it) twice & got 92.1 & 91.8. I'd have to be dead 20 minutes for that to be right.
So, yesterday & this morning went to 3 CVS, Osco, 2 Walgreen's, & Meijer. All were out!
Seven stores, no thermometers.
But, it's a dem hoax!

(55,006 posts)been wanting a new electronic one, looked on line the other day - over $100 for a $20 version, IF it was in stock. I will just wait until this crap is over with. I have an old style "mercury" thermometer that works fine.

(44,996 posts)Looks like dead battery - but it doesn't seem changeable. It was a cheap CVS model. But yeah, can't find new ones anywhere.
