Should we be worried about a run on the banks?

I don’t know enough about it to have a firm opinion. I assume there are regulations to make such a thing harder these days? Does it make a difference that money is largely moved electronically now?

I'm fortunate in that I do have a little bit of money in the bank. But it took me 35 years to get it there. Most people are worse off.

Thanks to the post 2008 regulations the banks have ample reserves.

You can thank Obama, Biden, Warren, Frank, Pelosi and many more Democrats for that.

And that was a financial crisis. Besides, many businesses are not accepting cash preferring relatively cleaner debit or credit cards. In the 1930's they didn't have those.

Although CNBC keeps re-running the Bill Ackman rant. Trying to start a bank run.

Maybe on her maybe on Kos . Someone posted that person in front of them wanted 8,000 dollars at bank. Was told they'd have to make an appointment to get that from their account. I remember talking to people years ago who still didn't trust banks. because of what they lost in depression.
