these task force pressers?

(2,674 posts)When I watched her today I thought how tacky the scarf looked, but I didn't want to be snarky. But I guess I will - She needs to lose the scarf and hire a stylist to advise her on how to dress for TV.

(60,010 posts)was her stellar qualifications. Obama chose her to lead the Ebola crisis
She was nominated by President Barack Obama as United States Global AIDS Coordinator and confirmed by the Senate; she was sworn in April 4, 2014.
In her role as ambassador she has led the organization to meet the HIV prevention and treatment targets set by Obama in 2015 with the goal of ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030. She says that PEPFAR has cut pediatric HIV infection rates by 50 percent in several African countries.
He chose her because of her impressive background.
Birx served as a physician in the United States Army, rising to the rank of colonel before she retired from military service. She started her career with the United States Department of Defense as a clinician in immunology, focusing on HIV/AIDS vaccine research.
She then served as an Assistant Chief of the Hospital Immunology Service at Walter Reed Army Medical Center from 1985 to 1989. In 1996, she became the Director of the United States Military HIV Research Program at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, a role she held until 2005
From 2005 to 2014, Birx served as the director of CDC's Division of Global HIV/AIDS (DGHA), which is part of the agency's Center for Global Health.

(9,696 posts)But don't let that give you the impression that women are judged more harshly and criticized/mocked more freely than men.
---it could just be that she was mocked---in a somewhat humorous fashion--- not because she is a woman, but because she is lending her previous reputation to the the narcissistic fool who is responsible for the magnitude of the disaster with which we are now faced.
This woman with "stellar qualifications" has done little else but nod adoringly whenever Trump or Pence spews and excuse, deflect and change the subject when asked tough questions. It matters not who previously nominated her for what position or how highly she was regarded. Her participation in these farcical pressers has been embarrassing and disgusting.

(13,776 posts)It's usually safe to assume that someone Trump has chosen is risibly underqualified, but he must have taken advice from Anthony Fauci this time.
Also, I like her scarves.

(25,928 posts)Her face lift is wound so tight that she has what appears to be a bullet hole on her forehead under her hair; it's actually her navel. The scarf is for covering up...well, let's say that getting a Brazilian wax didn't cure the problem.

(6,831 posts)It's the content of what she's saying that's important, here.
When you're finished smearing her for her clothing, objectifying her, and slamming her with your MISOGYNY or PETTINESS, or CHILDISHNESS, perhaps you'll take the time to open your ears and listen to the information and data she's supplying, which is far more important than critiquing her clothing.
This whole posts sounds like something from Brietbart or FOX.
