The Coronavirus Relief Bill H.R. 6201 does not apply to companies with more than 500 workers.

H.R. 6201, which would require employers to provide up to 14 days of paid sick leave, does not apply to companies with more than 500 workers.

It's true.

Everything's behind pay walls, but it's true...no paid sick leave for me or for you.

Hopefully you're right and they will step up, but they are not required to so so by the law pecosbob Mar 2020 #3

to be taken anytime (full time) and part time employees 1 week worth's of paid leave (before, you had to schedule in advance almost a month to take off even a day).

They also changed their hours (closing at 6 p.m. instead of 10 p.m. as normal).

They also announced that they won't dun you/ let you go, if you happened to already use up your paid time off, because of illness. You can still take off, remain off for as long as you need.

My other half works there and I'm very relieved. I suspect more bigger businesses will step up to the plate in times like this. I have a much better appreciation of Home Depot now. And of course they provide all of their employees protective items such as hand sanitizer, etc.

This was done w/o the new law.

My health insurer Anthem Blue Cross now emailed me to tell me that I have to use an online virtual-doctor app before going to see a n actual doctor.

Those who can afford it the most are exempt. This kind of stuff is why you hear both sides are the same.

Nothing will be perfect with the trumpzis in charge. Once we get them out, we can fix these types of problems.
