There’s a gig economy beyond Uber, Lyft and similar spinoffs. Freelancers of all kind. Hospitality business. Consultants. Cleaners. Web developers. Designers. Even lawyers.

Sure, some of these folks make more than others, though the article linked in the OP noted that some Uber drivers gross upwards of $60000 a year. In any case, all are at risk of illness by continuing to work, or loss of income by social distancing. Millions of people we often don’t think about or forget about when we consider who’s going to be affected.

The article makes some good points. I just wanted to point out that not all gig workers are in the public eye or consciousness.
