“Impeach Obama” Banner May Fly Over Super Bowl

A group of anti-Obama Facebook groups are planning to fly an “Impeach Obama” Banner over this year’s Super Bowl.

The groups, Impeach Obama Tea Party, Stop Obama Now-San Diego, and Boycott Oprah, say they recently flew the banner over the Rose Bowl Parade Jan. 2.

Whether they can actually achieve their next goal is unclear to me. I assume, given the potential for terrorism, there are serious overflight restrictions with respect to the Super Bowl.

The game will be played February 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Short of the Super Bowl, the groups plan to do Impeach Obama banner flyovers of various cities and other sporting events. They are also be considering expanding their purview with an “Impeach Obama/Holder” banner, adding Attorney General Eric Holder into the mix.

It looks like they plan to continue flying the banners over the next year.

Or, I suppose, until Obama is impeached.

and all the responses loved it..... D*MN.

From the stadium web site:

NFL rules for roof opening -- home team determines if roof is to be opened or closed 90 minutes before kickoff (except if precipitation is within the vicinity of LOS, temperature is below 42 degrees, or wind gusts are greater than 40 mph, then roof is automatically closed). It remains open unless there are hazardous conditions (lightning, severe winds, precipitation, low temperatures, etc.)

In the last 15 years on Feb 5 in Indy, the high exceeded 42 degrees just 3 times. The last time there were actually thunderstorms that day (the high was 65!), which would certainly close the roof. The other two times there was fog and a trace of rain.

If it was 75 degrees, maybe, even then it would cause people to complain that they paid big money and don't want the sun in thier eyes. I have been to AZ Cardinal games when it was 75 degrees and they kept the roof closed, and that wasn't the Super Bowl.

I actually looked it up - at most, |twice (1999, 2005) in the last 15 years would the weather have been good enough to open the roof per NFL rules on Feb. 5 in Indianapolis.

I don't care, but Lucas Oil Stadium is a domed stadium. Nobody except drunk tailgaters outside will see it.

Unfuckingbelievable. If it was Bush, they'd be freaking out. HOW DARE YOU FLY A BANNER AGAINST OUR COMMANDER IN CHIEF DURING A TIME OF WAR?!?!?!

covering the airspace over and around major sports events. Usually these cover a 3-nautical-mile radius around the event up to 3,000 feet above the ground.

So they can fly their banner 3 miles away from the event, up high enough where nobody can read it.

Plus, the NFL is big business. The airspace is considered valuable commercial space. Just ask Good-Year and their blimp.

Trust me, this will never see the light of day.

There are a lot of whites who support Obama too. In 2008 he received a higher percentage of the white vote than Kerry 04, Gore 00, Clinton 96 and Clinton 92.

Bob Craft who is the Patriots owner has contributed to several democratic candidates (which isn't surprising being from New England). In addition, I can't prove this, but it wouldn't surprise me if QB Tom Brady were a democrat. He was born in San Francisco. He is building a home in California. He is married to a brazilian model. And from a race standpoint, one of Tom Brady's sisters has a bi-racial (half black/white) child.

The main reason I suggested that was because the main reason the teabaggers want to impeach him is because he's black, whether or not they want to admit that. One would think attacks on a black President would hit home a lot harder on the black players.
