The US just added 1128 new CV cases bringing up up to 12,966 known cases.

I think they're mostly from NY, but there are others.

I remember at the beginning of the week saying we’d have 16,000 by Sunday. We’ll be there tomorrow as the cases are quickly escalating.By end of next week we might be to 70,000 who knows at this point?

new york is starting to test at a rapid pace.

ALBANY — New York state has 2,959 positive coronavirus cases, a surge in diagnoses after health officials performed 8,000 tests for the disease overnight, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Thursday.

The tally is nearly 500 more than a day ago — showing the urgent need for help from the feds, Cuomo said.
