Nate Silver and a few others looked into it and said the allegations against senators other than Burr and Loeffler look a lot flimsier.

In Feinstein's case, the only stock that was sold after the briefing was a biotech company, which seems like an odd stock to dump right before a pandemic if the goal was to insider trade.

The allegations against Ron Johnson look pretty flimsy as well - he sold stock in a privately-held family business.

Inhofe's sales were in keeping with his pre-briefing stock sales, and not particularly tilted toward stocks likely to do poorly in the event of a pandemic.

That wouldn't have to have anything to do with one type of stock.

Brian only pointed out Burr, but Loeffler looks suspicious to me and I don't know much about the stock market, except my investment took a dive.

I'm sure there are many loop holes and I'd hate to see Difi involved, but...birds...feathers and all that junk.

so I don't know if he was introducing what he was covering in his newscast, or what.

They surely don't have a CYA clause to keep them out of trouble. I don't think the public would settle for them getting off.

I'm skeptical to believe file411 or whatever the handle on Twitter. I'll wait for more credible sources. So far allegations against Burr seems to check out. He and anyone who put themselves ahead of their constituents should resign.

However, I heard one Dem from New York who said it wasn't illegal. Better make it illegal, then. I thought that was what they had done several years ago. How stupid of me to think such a thing.
