BROKEN: Gun and Ammo Sales Strong

Consumers Rush To Gun Shops in Pandemic

by I.M. Reddy

One segment of the US economy does not appear to be adversely impacted by the COVID-19 virus, or the Chinese Virus as Donald Trump calls it. Gun shops are doing record business, despite calls for so-called "Social Distancing." We visited Duke's Deadly Weapons, a firearms mega mall in DuMass, TX yesterday to find out more.

Owner Duke Arsehoal had only a few words to offer in explanation, "Folks need more guns and ammo in dangerous times. Wanna AR-15? Get in line over there."

In the line, we spoke to a customer who was unwilling to tell us his name. He said, "I just bought 100 cases of Charmin, and I've gotta protect my investment. In a week, folks will be short on asswipe, and I aim to score big. I can't take no chances of getting robbed by TP Rustlers."

After getting threatening looks from other patrons at Duke's, we cut our visit short, out of an abundance of caution.

Or can this be challenged under the 2nd Amendment?

And they are facing a fairly strong lawsuit from a gun shop and prominent gun rights law firm... In my county.

Reading the challenge, it seems to have a fairly decent argument (at least on the executive authority angle). They might need to rush legislation through instead of doing it through the governors authority

The shop in question is also refusing to close. I'm not sure local law enforcement will be willing to shut them down either.

from my old town in New York reported on his Facebook page that there was a big line outside of the local gun shop. Yes, this is a town that is close enough to New Rochelle.

I saw a guy walking out that had just purchased a rifle. You would think people that apparently think like him would already have plenty of guns. What do they think, in an emergency, they are going to grow arms and hands to shoot multiple guns at once?

Her and asked what gun she should buy. Her husband is in the military so she assumed they had guns. Whats scary is she will easily buy one in Texas and has never shot a gun before. What could go wrong?!

She told her, we are from CA and have never owned guns, my husband only has one when they send him overseas. He has a desk job now.
