Will I go to jail?

I know there is some sort of law that in any civic crisis every one is required to bolt for the store and fist fight over the last loaf of bread. However, I have not bought TP, milk or bread since this started. I already had enough TP for a good bit. I bought one of those strap to the roof packs Costco sells just before Christmas and still have plenty.

In all seriousness, I'm grateful I have more than I need in my pantry. But not everyone had the time, or the money to keep a regular stock up. There's a family in the next neighborhood over that recently lost Mom to cancer 3 weeks ago. She got her chemo at the same place as my husband.... Now Dad is out of work.

Today my neighbors (all grandmas) took turns bringing non perishables to my garage - bagged all together with the recipe to turn the ingredients into dinner. There's enough there for 30 hot meals for Dad and 3 kids. One lady told me she was thrilled to find 2 cans of Spaghettios in her pantry that is still within the date. We even managed to collect a couple 4 packs of TP and about $200 for perishables, once they can be got. The Dad is going to come get it tomorrow.

It isn't much but it is what we can do right now and still keep our social distancing.

I hope all of you get the opportunity to do something for someone else while still being safe. For many of us, staying away from everyone else is the most patriotic thing we can do, so we don't end up an additional burden on the medical community.

hoarded at their home.

Good for you and your neighbors! We’ve been buying extra at the store to donate to local food banks. I’ve seen others doing this too.

Never have.

I find the bragging about it to be a joke, in a sad, pathetic kind of way.

But it is nice for people to talk about the good works they are doing because what is Faith without Good Works?

Your comment:

"We’ve been buying extra at the store to donate to local food banks. "

James 2:24: “Do you see that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only?”

Matthew 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Galatians 6 "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."

Titus 2 "Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity,"
