Trump's pressers remind me of that old Twilight Zone episode

With the little kid who had exceptional psychic powers and the whole town lived in fear of him and always tried to keep him in a good mood. I believe it was Billy Mummy who later played Will Robinson

You put it so perfectly! That is exactly what it seems like! They should have just killed the little shit and have finally been done with it, but instead they continued to live in fear of him. I remember that episode so well. I suppose that is why I feel like I have been living in the Twilight Zone for the last three years.

...including a Paul Krugman column in 2017 and something from Stephen King (the author, not the even scarier congressman) in 2018, from a quick google search. I think the first time I had that thought was one of those silly roundtable cabinet meetings where they go around the table and everyone starts by saying how wonderful Trump is.

The shadow of the drunk guy when he got turned into the jack-in-the-box scared the hell out of me.

Seeing tRump with his orange glow, racoon eyes trying to act presidential!! He is a JOKE. Unfortunately, the gop joke is killing innocent people.

There is no reason whatsoever for the networks to keep live-broadcasting trump's little ego trip assemblies. Give us the low points in the evenings---that'll be more than enough.

Little Anthony? Wasn't that the boy character and Kathleen Quinlan played the brave teacher who "tamed" him? That character is Trump.

In a way this is closer. It’s like Donny is playing at being president, and not doing a very good job. Keeps wanting to change the rules to suit him and “win” according to his warped definition. No one else counts.
