Over the past few years I posted many times about the fact Trump is a textbook narcissist. I said it could lead to many people getting killed. It's not just the actions of narcissist that can get people killed, it's also their inaction. We are seeing that now.
Here is an example of how Trump, a textbook narcissist brain works. Trump looks at our states as friend or foe. He does not treat them equally. Trump would not hesitate to help a state like Florida. That state is important to him. A state like California he would hesitate to help because they are his enemy.
A state like New York, Cuomo has to be careful not to insult Trump because Trump would see that as a vicious attack and he would retaliate.
Trump is one of the worst narcissists I have every seen because he never takes a break from his illness. Even serial killers who murder people take a break and act normal. They don't kill everyday.
Trump is always in full narcissist mode.

(180 posts)Trump wants to just ramble incoherently and lie without any accountability. After all it works at his rallies. But he is now realizing the reporters in the briefing room are not his base. Even though there is room for improvement, reporters are becoming more assertive. He is way above his head and is taking his frustration out on the media and mostly blue states. To be clear, he has no qualms with letting people die.
Reporters should ask why red states like Florida are getting their medical supplies so quickly.
I believe he will soon try to block MSNBC and CNN from the media briefings. I hope the networks are prepared for this next move.
Lastly, Biden should have been far more visible this week.
This would have been a good time to show leadership.

(9,235 posts)He seems immune to self reflection, or recognizing a mistake he made.
It seems like he always thinks he did the right thing, the best thing... and
Impossible for him to believe otherwise.
But yes I agree he's a moron.

(1,722 posts)He has told people near him that he knows more than the generals, intelligence professionals, etc. Apparently, he actually believes it and is not just spouting nonsense at rallies. I'm not sure the world has ever seen anyone like this before. On the other hand, I assume most people like this would be locked up.

(6,179 posts)I still blame the 52 GOP Senators who sign a pact with the devil than double down when they didn't find him guilty.
They unleash this P.O.S. Now in all likelihood he and they will be responsible for the unnecessary death of thousands.

(13,058 posts)By the time we can hopefully get rid of him on January 20th there won't be much of a country left. Those who haven't died from the virus will be left with nothing since our economy will have totally collapsed. I think that eventually even the rich will suffer. And that measly $1200 they are talking about sending out will have been long ago spent. Heck, that won't even pay one month's rent for most people.
