We got an email yesterday from them (as a customer) that said if you're in the southeast and have lost your job, please apply because they have jobs to fill.

Weird thing though

At Winn Dixie, the stockers and everyone but cashiers love it. Cashiers I don’t find them as happy to work there.

However at Publix the cashiers love it, but except the bakery, everyone hates it. They especially hate working the meat department. I think it’s because they are overworked due to cutting meat and cheeses AND making subs AND serving hot meals. I just think it’s too much for four people especially at lunch and even dinner.

But yes I’d work either one. I’d just be choosy at which job if I was allowed. If not, I’d work where they put me until I could move to another area of the store.

I've always thought I'd love to work in a bakery but I know I'd end up on the "My 600 lb Life" TV show.
