She's the tall blond woman who stands behind Trump at these 'virus press conferences',
smiling and nodding her head up and down as Trump speaks.
Wolf Blitzer interviewed her yesterday and asked her three times,
"When are we going to get more ventilator machines out to the hospitals?"
Her response each time was what a wonderful job Trump is doing getting masks sent out.

(4,429 posts)She gives measured answers and sounds pretty smart. I'm sure she is.
But she was on the front lines of our HIV response. She's kept her head down and been successful in gov't since then. And remember, it was the people (ACT UP) who DRAGGED the gov't to respond appropriately.
I listened to her response the other day: just like HIV, (she said) we'll get the answers FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR.
I don't trust her or like her ONE bit.

(1,713 posts)and a holdover from Obama. She has dedicated her life to infectious diseases and public health. She is probably doing the best she can. I commend her for being in this fight. She's not a politician. Again, I simply can't speak ill of anyone who has dedicated thier lives to public health. I don't care who she works for. It's easy to sit on couch, self isolating with snacks and Monday morning QB. Turn it off if you don't like her nodding her head. No sense in sitting around getting you blood pressure up.

(15,299 posts)to this orange fucking moron.
I get it. There's a tough job they have to do, but even the crew of the USS KAINE realized there was a point when you reach diminishing returns.
I think we are past that point.
They're watching a toddler playing on a hot stove, and they appear to repeatedly send the message "well, he's going a fantastic job not touching the hot burners"
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.
Enough ego fluffing.
The best thing they could do for their fellow Americans would be to tell us he's fucking nuts and has no business being in charge.
Right now, standing there nodding their heads or putting their hands in their face while listening to the bullshit is doing more harm then good.
