General Discussion

and I'm sure there were radio services before that.
Cable TV in most areas offers several religious channels, as well as some local church services.
Many local churches now stream their services. You can remotely "attend" by computer, tablet, or cell phone.
Churches can meet in multiple sessions, rather than as one huge congregation. With so many people not working, they don't have to stick to Sundays, either.
There is NO excuse for carving out an exception to the 'no large gatherings' just for church services. Any such large gatherings should be branded "kill the elderly" meetings.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Which would seem to suggest large gatherings are not required in any case.

(43,181 posts)Our old pastor was very progressive and forward minded (sometimes to the annoyance to some in the archdiocese), and gave excellent homilies to boot. He's since retired, but his masses are still on there.
I've been using his old masses as a substitute.

(31,985 posts)Mass for Shut Ins. I remember it way back when I was a small child in the 60s. Broadcast on our local TV channels every Sunday morning.
Why is this not good enough for some of those mega churches.
