They were used by Donald Trump in 2016 to promote his political propaganda and lies.
They should not do it again.
Especially during this critical time for our country. His lies and propaganda are dangerous for our country and the health of our people.
He is using them to falsely promote himself and to deceive certain parts of our population to keep up his polls and increase his odds for election in November. It is irresponsible to promote such a political agenda during this crisis we are now experiencing.
These networks need to work for the interests of the American people at this time - not for the interest of any politician or political Party.
They should guard against being drawn into this trap again.

(52,181 posts)at a minimum, they don't need to cover his campaign presentations (that's what they are, face it) in their entirety.
they can say that they're at it, show a reporter with donnie in the background, and say they'll break in if he says anything actually newsworthy.
i'd argue that they have a *responsibility* not to cover the portions of these things that are clearly just self-promotion, ass-kissing, and campaign puffery, certainly not without giving democrats like biden equal time.
rule number one of journalism is that when a source burns you enough, you don't go back to that source. they should have learned their lesson about donnie ages ago.
that's not to say they should ignore everything he says or does, yes he is president, but they should be covering him *very* differently than largely letting him get free airtime to say whatever he wants whenever he wants.
