From the website:

The GHS Index is a project of the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security (JHU) and was developed with The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

These organizations believe that, over time, the GHS Index will spur measurable changes in national health security and improve international capability to address one of the world’s most omnipresent risks: infectious disease outbreaks that can lead to international epidemics and pandemics.

The USA is horribly unprepared for a pandemic because of lack of coordination at local/state/Federal levels, lack of resources in many poorer/rural areas, etc. Look at what a clusterfuck screening for Covid-19 has been (no testing people with symptoms because of no China travel/contact, many of whom later tested positive and/or died).

IF we used the infrastructure we have, IF we had an adult in charge, IF we had not decimated the systems we had in place to deal with this, THEN and ONLY then would we be at the top.

assess a country’s technical, financial, socioeconomic, and political capabilities

We are CAPABLE but directly due to Rump and NOBODY else, we are in reality last on the list because he destroyed our CAPABILITIES and continues to do more harm

RIGHT NOW we could FORCE companies to build ventilators, he wont do it...
RIGHT NOW we could take over HOTELS and use them for hospitals, he wont FUCKING DO IT

He is KILLING YOUR FAMILY and the GOP does nothing and we SIT here and do nothing!

Although this could be used to nail Twitler. If we are the most prepared than we should have the best outcomes. If we don’t it must be his fault.
