?fit=scaleAs of today, the United States falls in last place with regard to limiting COVID-19 growth according to the number of confirmed cases. According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, the number of confirmed cases in the United States grew at a faster rate than any other country in the world yesterday. Below, I dive into how these numbers are skewed by country population and the number of coronavirus tests conducted.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose from 7,783 on Wednesday to 13,677 yesterday. The growth of 5,894 new confirmed cases in just one day equates to a 76% increase in cases in just a 24-hour period.

(31,109 posts)1. So so many things the traitor could do TODAY to reverse this...
He could also order mfg of ventilators, masks, but he wont do that as it will upset rich people that he looks up to because he wants to one day have money of his own.
He could take over MILLIONS of hotel beds and make them hospitals, he wont...
He is KILLING YOU RIGHT NOW...

(26,067 posts)7. Florida has tested quite a few, as have CA and WA
Not enough, because there aren't enough tests. We have drive-through testing in SOFL.

How many counties have them?

A bar graph shows cases for which they have a date for onset of symptoms. I think this removes some of the apparent increase due to increased testing. This data is a small subset of cases and the last 5 or so days get revised upward as more data is available. I've been putting the data in a spread sheet and it looks like an exponential curve. CDC updates weekdays at noon and this data sometimes later in the day.

there are some tests being done. Looking at increase in deaths will get us a more accurate # on what's happening.
