The thing about Peter Alexander's question to Trump about Americans being frightened?

The thing about Peter Alexander's question to Trump about Americans being frightened? The one that prompted Trump to lash out at him as a terrible reporter?

A colleague of Alexander's at NBC News just died of covid-19.

last night. Sooner or later, this will hit home to almost all of us in some way. Its only a matter of time. Just as Larry's death has hit the NBC and MSNBC family hard.
The hard thing about it, one of the reporters mentioned is that we've lost a friend and we can't be together to console each other.
Just another way this virus is wreaking havoc. When a loved one dies, people come together, give hugs, hold hands comfort each other.

As Alexander himself said afterward. A gimmee. A simple question with a simple answer.

And IMPOTUS blew it. Because he has no compassion. No empathy. He is a malignant narcissist and cares only about himself and his widdle feelings.

Don's was an angry and an ugly response. A nasty question?

“What do you say to Americans who are watching you right now and are scared?”

NBC News correspondent Peter Alexander started the exchange by asking Trump whether he “may be giving Americas a false sense of hope” by touting drug therapies that health-care experts have said are unproved as treatments for the coronavirus.

“No, I don’t think so,” Trump replied. “It may work, it may not work. . . . I feel good about. That’s all it is, it’s a feeling.”

Alexander shifted gears by citing the growing toll of the illness and asking Trump, “What do you say to Americans who are watching you right now and are scared?”
